DAFFODILS OF HOPE

Celia Irwin, the artist who gave us the Remembrance Poppy display, has crafted a set of ceramic daffodils with the theme of Hope and there is a display of 1000 of them in the churchyard.

With the link to Marie Curie Charity, which cares and supports those who are terminally ill, we will open the church daily for prayers for loved ones in the Lady Chapel.

Daffodils will be sold for £10 and the church will again receive £2.50 for each one sold, with another £2.50 going to the Marie Curie Charity.

The daffodils may be ordered from 11 March through Celia’s website www.art-ified.co.uk or from her in person, or by filling in the forms at the back of church.

For those wanting daffodils for Mothering Sunday, they may be collected from Celia in the churchyard between 11.00am and 1.00pm on Thursday 28, Friday 29 and Saturday 30 March or if you want your daffodil after Easter, collection is on Monday 22, Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 April.

As before, the daffodils can be purchased on the cane or in a presentation box. The church will be open, from 11.00am – 1.00pm each weekday during the course of the display and visitors will be invited to remember loved ones in the Lady Chapel.
